MeltyBox August 2016

Hey guys it’s MeltyBox time again but first can we take the time to wonder how on earth it’s August already!  This year seems to be flying by, I have no idea where the time goes!

MeltyBox is a monthly wax melt subscription box which is part of Imperial Candles.  The box is £20 per month and for that you get 9 highly scented soy wax melts that contain no nasty additives and are hand poured in the UK plus the scent can last up to 20 deliciously scented hours!  In one of your melts you receive a jewel worth between £10 and £2000 made out of sterling sliver, white or yellow gold plus each month 1 lucky box will contain a jewel worth up to £3000 or an iPad air!  In addition to this each month they include a lifestyle extra which is a fab wee treat and varies from beauty products to snacks!

The packaging as always is the adorable purple and white colour scheme with the cute little Melty sticker holding it all together!  The first thing you see when you open the packaging (being careful not to damage Melty in the process of course) is the lifestyle extra and beneath that all the cards with the info about this months box plus your discount code for a full size candle and details on how to enter the competition to win an imperial candle.

This months extra was a packet of Joe & Sephs gourmet popcorn in the caramel and sea salt flavour.  We’ve seen this brand around a lot but never tried it so this is a fab wee extra.  It’s absolutely delicious and extremely moreish even for someone who doesn’t particularly like popcorn (that would be me).  Also included is a voucher for a free pouch of popcorn when ordering from their website, there is a minimum purchase amount but as a family of 7 I’m sure we can manage that as 1 bag is never enough!

The scents this month are the usual mixed bag so there really is something for everyone and there’s only 2 I’m not keen on (sorry Grandad not as big a haul for you this time!).

  • Top: Crystal Mountain Water, Coconut Lemongrass, Sweet Strawberry
  • Middle: Juicy Pomelo, French Lime, Tangerine Mojito
  • Bottom: Fresh Cut Grass, Eucalyptus Lemon Mint, Lilly of the Valley

The 2  I’m not keen on are the really fruity ones, sweet strawberry and tangerine mojito as they’re just way too sweet for me but I love all of the others!  I think my favourites this month have to be coconut lemongrass and french lime which reminds me so much of my french lime blossom perfume which I’ve been loving lately!

They describe the scrents this month as:

  • Crystal Mountain Water – waves of freshness
  • Coconut Lemongrass – exotic and tangy
  • Sweet Strawberry – yummy fruitness
  • Juicy Pomelo – zesty treat
  • French Lime – fancy twist
  • Tangerine Mojito – perfect for summer days
  • Fresh Cut Grass – morning dew
  • Eucalyptus Lemon Mint – herbal infusion
  • Lilly of the Valley – delicate bouquet

The jewel I picked for this month was a pair of earrings and they were hidden inside the Eucalyptus Lemon Mint melt, I actually didn’t think I’d like this one much as it smelt rather afthershave like in the pot but once it was in my warmer it smelt gorgeous like fresh zesty christmas tree’s which doesn’t sound very summery but it works really well!  I got a pair of triangle shaped sterling silver studs which are really pretty and unusual which retail for £15.00.

Once again I’m really happy with the box, I think theres a fab range of scents inside every month and there really is something to suit everyone!  What did you think of this months box?  Is there anything you’d like me to add to these reviews?  Let me know below!

See you next time, Em xXx
